The church, designed by the famous architect Antonio da Sangallo the Elder is a magnificent artistic example of 16th century Tuscan architecture. Its imposing facade, composed of eight pilasters with Ionic capitals at the top, of Doric capitals in the lower part and a large central rose window, blends in perfectly with the surrounding natural and architectural landscape. Inside, the church presents a single nave, and an exquisite marble baptismal font.
