Museo Archeologico di Portus Scabris

The Archaeological Museum has the goal of disseminating scientific data on underwater archaeological excavations conducted between 2000 and 2001 which unearthed numerous finds present on the seabed in the marine area of Scarlino. The finds show a strong maritime and merchant activity in the area starting from the 3rd century B.C. All the elements of the museum allow visitors to rebuild a fragment of the history of Scarlino and its trading and maritime importance.

The museum is open every day from 10 am to 1 pm and from 4 pm to 7 pm; on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays until 8 pm. The museum spaces are accessible to people with disabilities.
