A patron and his treasures - The archaeological collection of Roberto Bilotti Ruggi D'Aragona

From 16/08/2025 to 31/08/2026
Etruscan bronzes, votive terracottas, Greek, Etruscan, and Magno-Greek ceramics will accompany visitors on a fascinating journey, where reflection on the “Collection” intertwines with the evolution of the concept of the “Museum”, from the eighteenth-century Antiquarium to contemporary cultural institutions.
The exhibition offers a unique dialogue between Ancient and Contemporary Art, thanks to the presence of Futurist sculptural masterpieces such as Gino Severini's Janus, placed in ideal conversation with the Etruscan god Culsans, an extraordinary Hellenistic bronze loaned by the MAEC – Museum of the Etruscan Academy and the City of Cortona.
