From 12/10/2024 to 09/11/2024
On Saturday 12 October at 5.45 pm in the Pinacoteca Civica di Follonica will be held the FolloWme event "The other Earth" with the inauguration of the photographic exhibitions and a talk with the authors, in presence online, moderated by journalists Lucia Goracci and Costanza Spocci.
These are award-winning works of great international importance:
- "The War in Gaza" by Mohammed Dahman documents the bombing in Gaza, the death of thousands of Palestinians and the strength of a people that remains cohesive;
- "The October 7th War" by Amnon Gutman, focuses on the aftermath of the Hamas attack that left 1139 dead, including 695 civilians, the despair of the hostages' families and the start of a violent war;
- "Occupied Pleasures" by Tanya Habjouqa, explores the moments of pleasure experienced by Palestinians in the occupied lands, understood as forms of resilience and resistance to war.
Three different perspectives with the aim of promoting a dialogue based on listening, understanding and and shared reflection.
As always, the FolloWme stimulates meetings on current social issues, trying to build a collective and shared narrative.
